As for the CuteNews future, we look forward for your further cooperation. Your comments, feature suggestions, bug reports, etc. are always welcome! Our programmers are always diligently working to resolve possible problems as soon as possible.

Dear Support_Team!
Dear Admin!

There are things you should consider beside further CuteNews "development". At first some thoughts:

* There are many users who figured out to customize their CN installation
* There has been a support crew already in the forums - they've been and they are very helpfull
* I believe, that those support team members and many other users have done a really good job in the past years (without official support since 2008)

There are some questions I'd (or we'd) like to get answered by you:

* You always write "we will..." - but who are you? and how many are you? Could you introduce yourself?
* What is going to happen to the voluntary support members? Will CuteNews Support change to a one man show?
* What are your future plans with CN?
* What is your oppinion about UTF-8 Cutenews? Which is still more secure and reliable than 1.4.7 - see the discussions in the forums.
* Would be really nice to get some more details on you, your team and your targets.

Thank you in advance

Re: CuteNews 1.4.7

Thanks for addressing the issues that were posted. This seems a lot better.

I'd be curious to hear a few words about you, the new owners, too. It'd be only fair for us to introduce ourselves in return as well, so if you want I will do so.

Re: CuteNews 1.4.7

I appreciate the updated version, thanks guys. I do have suggestions on improvements though, were do I post these? John

Note by (lKj)
All of the posts below were users who seem like spam — halfway relevant posts by users who only make 1-3 posts and then never appear again. All of these users had a link in their profile to a website, usually about car rentals, finance products, SEO consulting... the usual sort of spam topics.
The only thing I edit is the 'Website' field of such users. I don't touch any signatures, which sometimes also contain links to websites but which are — luckily — not shown in posts.
Since I don't want to get into trouble, I figure that setting them to invisible is a better means so that the posts can be put back if the administrators feel differently about this issue.
Just let me know and I won't ever touch / modify someone else's posts, even the most obvious spam. I'm just trying to help.

Re: CuteNews 1.4.7

Just updated on my site, from 1.4.6 to 1.4.7. On my script I modified two things: the first is the year choose in a pair of dropdown (this one), the second consists of some css attributes in search.php because a page wasn't displayed correctly due to my global css. The first thing is now officially fixed in 1.4.7, while for the second one I just did not replace that file, keeping the old version. At the moment it seems to work everything properly, hoping it is so in the facts...

Re: CuteNews 1.4.7

For those who want to examine and implement (or not) the changes in this release with their existing installation, download a copy of Compare & Merge

This nifty little program allows you to examine differences between files and with a click of the mouse import changed lines from differing files.
The program is a trial version so you only get 50 changes. You must then uninstall and re-install the program to keep using it.
