2 different avatars, showing avatar1 in template1, showing avatar2 in template2 Options

Hey guys,
I'm using different templates for my cutenews website.
But there's a problem:

On top of my site there is the latest article of a specific category (lets call it template1).
Next are the two top-news (template 2).

My wish: One big picture as an avatar in template 1 and an other avatar for template 2.
I think to change the form in cutenews isn't a big problem, as long as I know where to add,
but the thing is: I don't know where to put the command in, so cutenews know, if I put a picture in avatar1 its for template1 and the avatar2 field is for template2.

So I need the file, where I can define the {avatar} in order to copy and edit it.

You can assign a different avatar for each category of news. Won't this do what you want?

Not really, because two articles must be in the same category (for example "reviews"), but they can be shown in both templates. so I would need every article twice - one for template1 and one copy for template2
