Topic: Our plans for the development of CuteNews.

Dear All!

It is time to discuss our future plans for the development of our project. We encourage all the CuteNews users to get involved in this discussion directly.
Please feel free to add your ideas and suggestions for improving our project. We are ready to take any features you only could suggest us into the consideration.

As for our plans for the nearest future, we are going to add a public  Subversion repository, which will make the development of CuteNews more convenient. If you need to know some more details about this feature, please consider an article here.

So, welcome to our discussion topic!

Best regards,
CN Support team

Re: Our plans for the development of CuteNews.

What a useful feature for your common everyday users... https://cutephp.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif

Do you have anything else planned? Something like improved security or performance? Or is SVN your only goal at the moment?

And I don't really mean to sound like a broken record, but... Do you have any plans for us "unofficial support" members? (I'm not really expedting an answer, but I have to try https://cutephp.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

It says on the CutePHP 'About' page:

no formal official support is provided apart from the support forum found on this website and maintained by other users

Re: Our plans for the development of CuteNews.

I wonder how long it will take to get this cool new "feature" up and running... I have a feeling that the official cutenews will never be as good as UTF-8... Or even at the same level. They will most likely "steal" some code from UTF, but I'm not that convinced (yet) of the official teams php skill...

Re: Our plans for the development of CuteNews.

I love cutenews, always have done. Its such a shame development stopped, and some of the mods that were made were truely superb. The power of cutenews is mega, and with the mods is fantastic.

However, I would love to see a version of cutenews developed that takes in mods such as the file upload by FI-DD, advanced image module but to allow picture resize, javascript preview popup as oppossed to window pop up and a way of mass inserting and uploading images for powerful galliers.

Shopping cart integration with paypal or another online payments retailer would be great, social media integration.

I think the job of the support team is actually quite easy, just go to script feedback, look through the posts of the most popular modules and make a version 2.0 of cutenews that integrates all of these!

I really look forward to the future of cutenews, I really hope it can be grown up quickly, as I love it.

I think so. Furthermore, I'd like a CuteNews developped that takes recaptha system, five stars to rate the post, newsletter system integrated, RSS also for comments, multiple include haked, WYSIWYG editor actually compatible with all browser.
I'd pay for all this.

I agree but I think it'll be somewhat comparable.  Either way, I think it would be a cool addition
