WYSIWYG Editor doesn't work

Hi, i red few discussion about, and it seams the only solution is mod the actual editor.

Can anyone say me if there is another way to use  WYSIWYG editor?

I just activate on admin panel, nothing change in mine editor, the only thing is that smilies doesn't work if  WYSIWYG editor is active...but the editor is the same, nothing change..:/
