2.0.2 works perfectly. I am very happy. In compare with my old 1.4.6 this is really a big positive change, very usefull and many steps forward.

I have one extremely strange situation with my pagination. I've discovered that quite accidentally.
I put simple include php code with "$category=18;" (where I hadn't any news), just for prepare, and without "$number" into my page.
The pagination apears in linked form <-Previous 1 2 3 4 5 Next->
As soon as I put the first news, pagination disapeard.
Can that help me to get pagination where I really need it?
EDIT: I didn't do anything and pagination is now on my pages and it works perfectly. I would like to help someone with advice, but how? Just wait and everything will be OK?

In the meantime I've serched via phpinfo() file for mod_rewrite, it can't be found (per search ctrl +F), insead of that I've found this:

Pagination doesnt't work in my CN 2.0.2. There is no arrows, nothing, neither in my webpage news nor in example.php.
I see that that issue is solved in my version and that gives me hope, I can solve this with your help, may be.
News Pagination is not disabled in S.configurations settings. 
I will do and check everything what support team in this topic recommends.
Should I at first check or uncheck Use rewrite engine in S. configurations? What does that depend on? On numbers of my news? Default is unchecked and nothing happens...I've checked it and still nothing happens...
(Few days ago I've migrated from 1.4.6 to 2.0.2 but I think, this is not importand in this case)

Thanks for your respond.
I remember only I' ve done it for news. It was encoding Windows -1250/2 (The both 0 and 2 had good display in test)
Is there any way to do this separately for comments?
However, untill the problem is solved, I gave up PUPUPs and caracters in comments are OK.

And now, I am not sure why, only comments in popup form display caracters uncorrectly like on my image above. When I post comments direct from the news page, it is all OK.
Is it possible that the changes I make in settings were not immediately displayed but after a time ago.
Slow server?
Does anyone have any idea how to solve this problem with PopUP caracters displaying?

I have the same problem only with comments (news are displayed correctly), it looks like

A few days ago I've upgraded from 1.4.6 to 2.0.2 and this is the only problem I have with the new version. This is acctually my second try to upgrade and configure things, first time I had other problems, but not this one. Both times on the same site.
I hope, there is a solution for this problem and I don't have to try once more all from beginning. 
In Settings : on my webpage and in CN : UTF-8
In General settings in CN I've tried all combinations: disable/enable Convert UTF8 symbols for comments, disable/enable pop up for comments etc, but it looks allways like on my image above.
Grateful for any help...

Sorry about my English, but I'll try...
I would like to have old news, old cathegories, old users, old comments in new CN 2.0.2
-I've backed up old CN version 1.4.6 (even though I leaved it active and untouched on server untill the new version work out, is that OK?)
-I've unpacked new CN 2.0.2 on my computer and transfered via Total Comander all content of
new CN into server, into new folder (named cutenewsx), not in the same where the old one is (named cutenewsn), so the both CNs are now side by side on the same location but in different folders
-I was on ...index.php in my new CN and registred me as administrator, I made some changes and templates, wrote and included a few news into a testpage on my website to see how it works and how I can use new futures and so on...All was Ok, I like it.
After that...
-I've copied all files from data directory of old CN into cdata directory of new CN
-I've copied also all files from upimages of old CN into upload directory of new CN (so I have all images on two places in new CN, unnecessary, wright?)
And now all old images are there in new CN but not any of old news, cathegories, users...
I guess, it has something to do with codes utf -8 and so on...Can I do anything now to solve problems or I have to do everything from beginning?
What is confusing for me in CN instructions?

To install a new version of CuteNews you are recommended to back up old codes and after it delete the following data:
the server folders: core, inc, migrate, skins
also the files from the root folder: register.php, update_cutenews.php, router.php, migrate_to_latest.php, example1.php, example2.php, cn_friendly_url.php (if it exists)
Most of this files and folders are not present in my old CN folder, is that OK? Should I delete only a few files of them I have?...
If the old version refers to 1.4.x, you can find an ID in the file ./data/news.txt, in the beginnings of the lines.
I was in this document via Notepad and I can't find any ID there.Grateful for any help...
