Is there any way to make subcategories in CN not even categories? For example: category 1 would have 3 subacategories, category 2 - 6 subcategories ant so on.

Hi, I'm having problem with users permission (journalists) for edditing their owns articles. If they not choose any category when submiting an article they are not allowed to edit them later but if they choose one everything is OK. The question is: is it possible to set journalists permission allowing them to edit their articles withuot choosing any category or it is possible to set the default category (not the blank one)?
