Topic: Friendly URL's not working or doing something wrong...?

Okay, I cannot get Friendly URL's working.

If I am not mistaken Friendly URL's means that a news item URL, which normally looks like this: domain.com/index.php?id=2
Will look like this: domain.com/news-item-headline-full-description.html.

Right?

I used the the CuteNews "Rewrite" system, however it turns "domain.com/index.php?id=2" into "domain.com/index/2.html"
Isn't it possible to get the full title of the news item in the URL?

Please advice. Thank you.

Well apparantly I made some progres...

I have to enter the title also in "Page alias" when adding a new article, however I thought this would be automatically?

One other issue; for some reason it adds "index" as a directory in between.
For example: domain.com/index/news-headline-story-here.html

I already tried several things in "Rewrite prefix", changing it to /nieuws/ and removing it completely or only adding a "/"
Nothing helps; it will show /index/ in between...

What kind of configurations have you made? I'm trying to do the same.
