Topic: v1.5 - Login doesn't work

hi everybody,
I've updated cutenews from 1.47 to 1.5 (moving datas from /data to /cdata manually)

but now it's impossible to log in into the administration panel. "Wrong username or password" appears. Clicking on "Lost password"  and filling the fields with username and email leads to this error: "The username/email you enter did not match in our users database".

the old users.db.php is now in /cdata , so...

any ideas?

I had exactly the same problem when I manually copied across the data. I deleted everything and re-uploaded cutenews 1.5 together with my old data folder. I then went to cutenews/index.php and allowed it to do the autoupgrade. It worked. The only things that did not copy across were extra emoticons that I had added. I moved them myself. Everything else, including photos, copied across.

I deleted everything and re-uploaded cutenews 1.5 together with my old data folder.

So that you have

cutenews/data (full) AND
cutenews/cdata (empty)

OR JUST

cutenews/cdata (with old datas within)

?

Already tried this way, unfortunately I get "Error: 504 Gateway Timeout" after a while https://cutephp.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif

Uhm, I'll remove the /upimages folder (which is very big) and try again.

The update has been recently made that lets save the file with the users (https://github.com/CuteNews/cute-news-repo/commit/62d9e4e801432a087330cfa2d495c72211f834de).
Install this version that you can download here https://github.com/CuteNews/cute-news-repo/downloads)
If something goes wrong, just try to transfer all file from data to cdata and from upimages to uploads and then authorize.
