Topic: Problems with the Options menu

Hi all.
I have a problem after installing the CN1.5
When I go to OPTIONS I get.

Fatal error: func_get_arg(): Can't be used as a function parameter in /home/CuteNews/core/core.php on line 262

What can it cause this problem?

This error should not occur in php5.3. Upgrade your PHP installation?

Thanks for the help,

I updated the PHP started working but my other systems stopped working, there would be another solution to this problem?

Would be temporary, until rewrite my old systems .

If you have updated to php 5 then all your scripts will need to be updated if they give errors.
It is not possible to rewrite cutenews 1.5 to downgrade it. You could use an earlier version of cutenews but this is not a good idea as it will not be as secure.

that didn;t work for me still getting that error msg.  I am using PHP version 5.2.17

The bug was corrected in 5.5.3

I have exactly the same problem - I'm using PHP 5.2.17 and have no intention up upgrading to 5.3 at the present time because of the problems it would cause with other PHP applications

This is very helpful in understanding what the problem is.

Unfortunately, though, my PHP knowledge isn't strong enough to see how I can modify the code to work around the problem

I have looked through the code and this function does not seem to be used in earlier versions of core.php
A temporary fix would be to download an earlier version and use that.
