Topic: Spontaneous Problem

Hi All,

I have a problem and if someone could help that would be really great.
I installed cutenews a while back and have been using it daily with no problems.
This morning I go to use it and find that the Search.php wont work.

I have moved the installation to a different domain on the same hosting account and it works but it doesn't work when on a subdomain. Is there a reason for it?

Mostly, it ends up putting the sub domain hosting folder after the domain in the search bar to look like this:

domain.com/hostingdomainfolder/cutenewsfolder/search.php

The installation address is below any help would be fantastic.

Re: Spontaneous Problem

It works correctly:

http://moneymattersmerseyside.co.uk/datab/search.php

It has to be an addressing problem...

Re: Spontaneous Problem

What does your folder structure look like? Do you have a folder with the same name as your domain? Because links to yourdomain.co.uk/yourdomain.co.uk/* work the same way as yourdomain.co.uk/*, which is rather odd.

I think you're missing http:// or something in the configuration. Please check Options > System Configurations and ensure that the field "Full URL to CuteNews directory" contains the correct link to your CuteNews folder, starting with http://.

Re: Spontaneous Problem

I think the search button on the top left side is for Google only.  What I do is use the lower left search part.  The thing is you can only search on a specific topic and cannot search the whole forum discussion.  If you still can't find it despite entering a number of your keywords, better contact the admin for help.  Hope you find it though.
