Special character issue in CuteNews 1.5.3

Hello,

We upgraded to CuteNews 1.5.3 and it works fine except now my user has to enter the html code for the apostrophe for example: ’   apostrophe.  This works except when she goes back in and makes a text edit, the code disappears.

Do you know how to resolve this?  Also, so she does not have to enter the HTML code for an apostrophe?
