Topic: Emoticons and Captcha can't be shown

I have version 1.5.3 and I don't know what do to show smilies/emoticons. There is only text.

The smilies are in folder skins/emoticons.

I have also problem with Captcha. Is somewhere a manual how to put Captcha into CN 1.5.3?

I returned to CN 1.4.7, I hope it will be still working!

I could not set in 1.5.3 to open comments and full story in new tab. When I used HTML form to add news, when I click on preview more than once, there were many of this: "\\\\". In HTML form was not a link to upload pictures to "uploads".
I could not open links in news in my smart phone.
I could not find out how to add smilies to comments. And neither Captcha.

So I returned to the old version of CN and I am satisfied. I hope it will be still working.

probably GD Support is not installed on the server, ask your host to install it.

It's to rare to be true, visio.

Ren, login > Options > System configurations > Full URL to CuteNews directory. Put a valid adress (to the script) in there. That should do the trick.
