Topic: Problem loading the complete news / index.php

Hi there!

I have recently installed CuteNews , i followed the steps of the guide for dummies XD.

It was all fine , i download the zip , use winrar on a folder named 'cutenews' and i copied that folder by filezilla to my host.

Then i went to 'www.tejasa.es/cutenews/index.php' which is the link of the web i am working with.

I put an usser and pass and then i created some news to test.

I can read the title of the new and the description but when i try to go to the 'Read more' to see the entire news i cant.

There isnt errors , is just the web all white , and the link is 'http://www.tejasa.es/index.php?id=5' for example.

I was looking in the forum and the guide but i didnt find anything.

btw i gave chmod 777 to all the folders of cutenews.

Atleast i am happy of not being just me XDDD

Its weird because the full story of the news is there , i mean , i can go to the option of print and i can read the news from there.

And if i change in the template 'short story' for 'full story' and you can read the complete news where before you could read the short description but...

No idea how to solve this.

I am having a similar problem with 2.0.2, but it only impacts the news added after the server updated to PHP 5.3.3.  We updated to the newest version of PHP, but there were too many errors after the install and needed to roll back a little bit.  Inclusion into a plain HTML-like PHP document, the news appears.  However, once it is included into a PHP environment, like a CMS, the news disappears.  And...  The missing bits are only the parts that are not static, like the title, author and the news itself.  I toggled the static tag and it did nothing.  So obviously, it has to do with how the variables are handled.  To get around it, I had to manipulate the RSS output to make headlines and iframe the news from the HTML-like pages.  It is inconvenient, to say the least.

I supose that i will try the tuesday to delete Cutenews and reinstall , maybe an older version ?

Btw how do i uninstall cutenews ? Or just deleting the folders from the host is ok ?

It is a shame that there are troubles with the new version of Cutenews.  I tried to update to v2.0.2 from 1.4.6 and couldn't do it. I gave up.

Version 1.4.6 works fine except that I have run out of memory and cannot get it increased - well I haven't asked my host yet. Unable to alter the memory quota myself as the host doesn't allow it.

I suppose that if there is little worth saving just delete all the cutenews files (backup first just in case).
