Hello,

Well some years ago I wrote too this hack, but seems it's deleted from board. Thanks Filou for rewriting this script.
And I integrated ckfinder into ckeditor and into images.mdu, maybe I repost it here some day if interested.
Yes, you did hanska, and it is here:
https://cutephp.com/forum/index.php?showtop...mp;#entry130754
I still use it.
I do not use utf_8 cutenews. It is possible that you have entered something into a post that this routine cannot cope with.
Hopefully (lKj) can help.
Hello, thank you for answer.
The line 203 show this:
while($str[$i] != ';'){And i didnt modified any of the files... it was working but suddenly broke.
I cannot find that line or anything like it in functions.inc.php from cutenews 1.4.6 or cutenews 1.4.7 or utf_8 cutenews
Which version of cutenews are you using? What hacks have been added?
(Edit: yes, I have found it in utf_8 cutenews)
This time limit is the standard one set in the PHP.ini file on your server.
It means that 60 seconds is the number of seconds set on your server that a script is allowed to run.
The error shows that a PHP script has taken too long and can be caused by a problem in one of your PHP files causing an endless loop.
Have you recently modified any of the files? This may give a clue where to look.
If you have not changed anything recently then try uploading a new set of cutenews files having first made a backup.
Do not overwrite your data files!
(Edit: In my file line 203 is inside the mail function so the fault may be connected with sending mail.
What is on line 203 in your functions.inc.php )
If you are using the 1.4.6 Captcha hack files from here:
https://cutephp.com/forum/index.php?showtop...amp;#entry93067
then check that you have uploaded the captcha directory with the files captcha.php, php-captcha.inc.php and VeraMoBd.tff to your news directory. You also need the modified inc.shows.inc.php file that is included in the download.
For the 1.4.6 hack you need to use {captcha} in your template not {captcha-img}
all of screenshots at our home page have already been replaced
Well done, a quick response!
If you look at the third screenshot on the CutePHP.com front page it clearly shows a captcha on the comments form.
An example screenshot of the comment form, this is how your visitors can add comments to your articles.
Very misleading to new users!
Needs fixing 'Saxar' 'Support Team'.
I did all what write here:
Those instructions are for UTF-8 CuteNews 9.
You are using Cutenews 1.4.6. ?
Perhaps (lKj) may be able to say of you can use that version of Captcha with Cutenews1.4.6For 1.4.6 you may be able to use this version:
https://cutephp.com/forum/index.php?showtop...ost&p=93067We spent a lot of time trying to get this to work but the whole topic has been deleted.
You need one version if you are using multiple includes. Another version if you are using a single include.
Download the corrrect version and follow the instructions.
The multiple version will not work with popup comments.
Even then it may not work on some servers. You must have the GD2 library installed on your server.
The captcha iself is from an external source and is a very old version. I have been unable to get it to work on two of my servers despite a lot of effort trying.
You could also try one of these:
https://cutephp.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=23066
{news-id}
Just guessing what you want. I assume you mean the advanced images.mu
Have you looked at line 578 onwards in images.mdu?
This may give a clue
https://cutephp.com/forum/index.php?showtop...ost&p=91452
I am not familiar with spotlight?
That is where I add an image using highslide.
else {
$link1 = htmlspecialchars('<a id="thumb1" class="highslide" onclick="return hs.expand(this)" href="'.$config_http_script_dir.'/data/upimages/'.($folder == '' ? '' : $folder.'/').$file.'">');
}Follow the upgrade instructions.
so it's not worth updating to CuteNews 1.4.7??
IMHO it is if you are running an unaltered version of 1.4.6.
If you have added any hacks or changes/updates of your own then no, unless you are prepared to put the changes back.
If you do update do not overwrite your old Data directory.
This is a step in the right direction. It means that the official Cutenews may have a future.
Good to see an input to the forum from the owner once more. I hope it lasts.
I have just uploaded the new version to my server running php 5.3.8 and it runs with no errors.
You need a delimiter with !preg_match.
Try using ^$self^
if(!preg_match("^$self^",$HTTP_REFERER) and $HTTP_REFERER != ""){
If you then get an error
Sorry but your access to this page was denied !
Then change line 19 from$config_check_referer = TRUE;
to
$config_check_referer = FALSE;
Your host is running PHP 5 and Cutenews 1.4.6 is will give eregi errors.
Update your functions.inc.php.

Hi Damoor,
thank you for testing with CN 1.4.6No code changes had to be made?
Thank you!
Worked perfectly without any code changes.
Great hack Filou83!
This hack works with 1.4.6.
![]()
Try setting
$config_check_referer = FALSE;
in line 19 of index.php
Please use the UTF-8 CuteNews version, it is more stable, more secure and PHP 5.3 ready:
A good idea for users new to Cutenews but difficult for those who have added lots of hacks and extra code to 1.4.6.
preg_match function is used to search a string, not change it
try
$title = preg_replace("/<[^>]*>/","",$title);
Does that work?
In Easyphp put your files in the 'WWW' directory.
To view your pages, select "local Web"
Easyphp is a local WAMP Server. It allows you to run PHP on your computer to test PHP code.
Cutenews needs to be uploaded and run on the server where you have your website.
I use the 'approve comments' hack.
https://cutephp.com/forum/index.php?showtop...&hl=approve
Nothing gets through untill I have approved it.
I also use the Block ip and Ban user in 'Comments Manager Module'
https://cutephp.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=31873
and the captcha hack
https://cutephp.com/forum/index.php?showtop...&hl=captcha
I first approve it then edit it using the Comments Manager Module
